Featured Neighborhood: Downtown San Diego

Fun Fact: Ronald Regan was the first person to drive across the Coronado Bridge when it first opened in 1969.

Downtown San Diego is full of life and energy. Only about 1% of San Diego residents call downtown home, this may not seem like that much but it is double what it was 10 years ago. Specifically, the East Village is an evolving and lively neighborhood, and most known for Petco Park, home of the Padres baseball team. Architecturally, the neighborhood is a mix of sleek high-rises alongside former warehouses and Victorian homes housing smart restaurants and brewpubs. The soaring Central Library has an art gallery and reading rooms with San Diego Bay views, while Quartyard plaza has a craft beer garden, food trucks and live music. ―
